Ashok Mathur, Founder and CEO

Ashok is passionate about building talented teams to deliver leading-edge, easy-to-use,  software products while providing excellent service. In 2009, while traveling in the Patagonia mountains, Ashok decided to create a company based on those principles. Upon returning to the States, Ashok built a high-performing team and founded Patagonia Health. Ashok’s commitment to exceptional products and achieving 100% customer reference ability has allowed Patagonia Health to become a leading national Electronic Health Record EHR provider, challenging industry norms and positively impacting healthcare as a whole. 

Before founding Patagonia Health, Ashok held leadership positions at Misys Healthcare Systems, Sony Ericsson Mobile, Long Board Inc., and Nortel Networks. Ashok has worked and lived in England, Canada, India, and the USA. 

Amos Slaymaker, VP Sales and Marketing Patagonia Health Executive Team

Amos Slaymaker, VP, Sales and Marketing

A 21 year veteran in Health Care IT, Amos is responsible for leading the Business Development Team to grow Patagonia Health sales throughout the United States. He has a track record of success in growing revenues across a broad spectrum of customer profiles. Amos’ experience includes selling to local, state, and federal government entities, behavioral health organizations, Federally Qualified Health Centers, hospitals, home care agencies, and group practice settings. He is also an industry-known leader in driving partnerships and promoting channel sales. Amos held leadership positions at Allscripts, IDEXX Laboratories, GFI Software, and most recently at the patient experience start-up Bivarus, Inc, acquired by Press Ganey Associates.

Amos is a native North Carolinian, born and raised right here in Cary, NC, and has a wife and three daughters. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Appalachian State University with a double major in Healthcare Management and Information Systems. He also holds his Masters in Business Administration.

Don Sargent Patagonia Health VP Customer Experience

Don Sargent, VP, Strategic Accounts

Don has more than 25 years of experience in the Healthcare IT / Medical Software industry with roles ranging from account management to organizational leadership. He has worked directly with Electronic Health Records and Practice Management systems, Revenue Cycle Management solutions, and Clinical Data Repositories. Don has extensive operational experience in the areas of product implementation & training, customer support, call centers, technical services, software deployment, and process improvement.

Don has held prior positions as Director EHR Support Service at Misys Healthcare Systems (Allscripts), Director of Customer Service Operations for eCast Corporation, and Program Manager/Principal Consultant for The Carolinas Center for Medical Excellence, and VP of Customer Experience at Patagonia Health. Don is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and has earned a Bachelor’s degree from Purdue University.

Harbi Dhanjal, VP, Engineering

Harbi Dhanjal, VP, Engineering

Harbi is a seasoned Software Engineering leader with over 20 years of experience in Product Design and Engineering across diverse industry verticals – Healthcare, Insurance, Retail, Utilities, Finance, and Security. He has a proven track record as a technologist with experience in a wide spectrum of technology horizontals – SaaS, Cloud Platforms, Mobile, Web & Portals, SOA/Middleware, UI/UX, BI, and Integrations. He is experienced in building and leading self-organizing on-site, off-site, and off-shore engineering teams.

Harbi’s past experiences include working directly with Oracle’s Fortune-100 customers to establish the technical architecture, design, and delivery for Oracle SaaS/Cloud products. While working for Sentara Healthcare, Harbi led the Consumer Digital Services team that designed and implemented an in-house Practice Management solution, a full-featured Patient Portal that integrated with Epic EMR and the flagship iOS and Android mobile apps for the corporate brand. Earlier in his career, Harbi worked on multiple Message Security product engineering teams at Symantec Corp, designing products to secure web and email transactions from spam and malware.

Harbi earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering from Mumbai University, and he holds an MS in Computer Science from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia.

Prasad Naik, VP, Finance Patagonia Health Executive Team

Prasad Naik, VP, Finance

Prasad is our VP of Finance with over 25 years of executive experience in areas of financial and commercial operations, corporate development, reporting, forecasting & budgeting, decision support & analysis in areas of costing, pricing, business review & financial analysis, mergers and acquisitions, financial audits, internal controls, SOX, US GAAP, IFRS, taxation, staff & project management. 

Prasad has a diverse background working for public accounting firms such as BDO Seidman and Grant Thornton for over a decade and later in his career working in various finance roles ranging from Controller, Director of financial planning and Sales Operations for public and private equity managed companies.

Prasad is responsible for establishing a performance-driven finance department that is responsible for accounting, tax, financial reporting, establishing robust financial systems and processes, financial planning & analysis, payroll, treasury, compliance, Investor Relations, and corporate development for Patagonia Health. 

Mary Mieure, VP, Customer Experience

Mary Mieure is an experienced operations executive with over 30 years in Healthcare IT, known for driving business value through effective leadership and strategic execution. Before becoming Vice President of Customer Experience at Patagonia Health, she served as Executive VP at Harris OnPoint, where she achieved organic growth and significant improvements in employee engagement.

She has also held key positions at Vitera Healthcare Solutions and Sunquest Information Systems, leading client experience initiatives and driving significant revenue growth. Mary holds a Bachelor’s in Management Information Systems and numerous certifications, including Lean Six Sigma and wellness coaching. She has received several awards for her leadership and innovation in customer service.

Tom Skelton - Board of Advisors - Patagonia Health

Tom Skelton

Tom joined the Advisory Board at the company’s inception in Feb 2009. Based on his extensive experience, Tom has been providing timely direction and guidance to help grow Patagonia Health through different stages of company growth. He retired from full-time employment in June 2022 having served for more than 20 years in Chief Executive Officer roles for several leading US healthcare technology firms specializing in workflow automation, standards-based information sharing, and data and analytics. Most recently he was CEO of privately owned Surescripts LLC, a US-based clinical information network processing over 20 Billion transactions annually. Prior to that, he was CEO for Foundation Radiology Group and Misys Healthcare Systems. Tom is currently Chair of Celebrus Technologies, Clearstar LLC and Escher LLC. He has also served on the boards of Misys Plc, Micro Focus International plc and Blancco Plc.

Charles Lambert - Board of Advisors - Patagonia Health

Charles Lambert

Charles is an experienced CFO with international experience, having lived and worked in the USA, Europe, and Asia. Over his 30-year career, he has held CFO positions in a number of companies, both public and private, in different industries, and is now retired from full-time executive positions. He spent the last 12 years working in Contract Research; most recently as CFO of Oncobay Clinical, which he joined as a start-up and grew revenues to over $35m in three years; before that, he was the CFO of Novella Clinical Inc., a full-service clinical research organization with offices in the US and UK and part of the management team that sold the business to IQVIA, a large global CRO.  Prior to his time in the CRO industry, he spent 10 years as CFO of Misys Healthcare Systems, a leading healthcare IT company. During his tenure at Misys, revenue grew from $250M to $550M, and the company made several key acquisitions. In addition to holding the CFO position, Charles acted at separate times as interim president of the clearing house and homecare divisions, as well as sponsored the roll-out of Lean Six Sigma across the division. Before moving to the US, he worked as a CFO in both the UK and Hong Kong for BOC plc.
